Flash Anzan online: flash mental arithmetic practice
How it works
Numbers appear one at a time in the same spot. When the last one is gone, type the total. You choose the digits (1 to 6), how many numbers (2 to 60) and how long each number stays on screen.
Flash anzan comes from Japanese abacus (soroban) training: experienced students picture the beads moving instead of counting. Speed is always shown per number, as in contests.
Modes
Practice gives you one problem after another. Series counts your right answers over a set number of problems. Speed ladder makes each problem 10% faster after a right answer and ends at the first mistake.
For reference
Record holders have added 15 three-digit numbers shown for 0.107 seconds each. Advanced settings has record modes so you can see that pace. Results here are practice only, not official records.
